Pierson COVID-19 vaccine clinic at San Jose Mission

WELL-ORGANIZED — The Volusia County Department of Health and Department of Emergency Management set up a system of tables and chairs to administer 350 COVID-19 vaccine shots Friday, March 12, at San Jose Mission in Pierson. The Pierson vaccine clinic is part of an effort to bring vaccine supply to underserved populations.

Walk-up COVID-19 vaccinations will be available in Pierson today, Friday, April 30.

The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available 1-6 p.m. at Misión San José Catholic Church, 165 Emporia Road in Pierson.

Some 300 COVID-19 vaccines will be available, and individuals will have a choice between the Moderna vaccine or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Individuals seeking a vaccine will need to present photo identification.
