The Orange City Fire Department held a "wet down" ceremony for their new fire engine at Station 67, 215 N. Holly Ave. on Oct. 2.

"This is a tradition in the fire service as they transition from out of the old fire engine and into the new fire engine," Orange City Public Information Coordinator Danielle L. FitzPatrick said.

Orange City Fire Chief Ronnie Long introduced the spray to welcome the shiny new engine, which holds up to 750 gallons of water.
