Saturday evening, May 9, more than a dozen cars and SUVs paraded twice by Good Shepards assisted living facility on West New York Avenue to honor and cheer up its residents and staff. The event was organized by Vincetta Ford, wife of attorney Alex Ford, because her mother is a resident there.

Good Shepards Administrator Ramon Gutierrez said the residents were thrilled by the parade because they weren’t expecting anything like that. “It made them smile,” he said.

Pictured are some of the facility’s eight residents, seen through their windows, and several of the parade participants who drove 15 vehicles twice along the facility’s driveway to honor the residents and staff.
