Robin and Wanda Lennon are opening the gates to Spring Garden Vineyard for a fourth year of allowing customers to pick and purchase the assorted varieties of tasty muscadine grapes grown in the DeLeon Springs vineyard.

The opening date for the 2019 season’s u-pick operations is Friday, Aug. 16, and scheduled hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Friday through Sunday. For those who would like to come at a different time, please call and we can schedule an appointment.

For those who like to make jelly, juice and wine, we will have several varieties with excellent yields of quality grapes. We plan to pick and freeze a more significant quantity of grapes this year to have them available after the fresh grape season ends. Wanda’s kitchen will be busy making a variety of jellies and jams and some other delicious muscadine treats.

We are happy to report that the tests carried out by the Florida Department of Agriculture once again confirmed the absence of any pesticide residue in the fruit samples. Our 2019 crop is being grown without the use of chemical pesticides or fungicides.

You can reach us at upicksgv@gmail.com, or give us a call at 386-804-5510 or 386-804-5519. We are at 980 Reynolds Road, between U.S. Highway 17 and State Road 11, in DeLeon Springs. Directions can be found on our website,
