The annual Lake Helen July Fourth Celebration was a blast. It started with a patriotic-themed parade through town. After the parade, the Lake Helen Equestrian Center was host to a day of family fun with all-time favorites such as sack races, egg tosses, and watermelon-eating contests. The West Volusia Saddle Club was also on-site, and spectators could watch barrel-racing events from the bleachers.
