Lili Beth Gresham and Dr. Gregory Mark Hiser are wed

Lili Beth Gresham of Summerville, S.C., and Dr. Gregory Mark Hiser of Dallas were married Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O, S.C.

Dr. John Carignan performed the 2 p.m. ceremony. Music was performed by pianist John Chapman and vocalist Meredith Dickard, and included a guitar and vocal recording by the bride’s mother. The reception followed at Bonnie Doone Plantation in Colleton County, S.C.

The bride is the daughter of Rudi and Faye Gresham of Orange City and Round O, and the granddaughter of the late Carey and Lillie M. Craven Breland of Walterboro, S.C., the late Marvin and Lizbeth Schramm Gresham of Bremerhaven, Germany, and Denver, and the late Dr. Adalbert Max Schwartz of Heidelberg, Germany.

Lili is a graduate of DeLand High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from Charleston Southern University in Charleston, S.C. She earned her master’s degree in mass communication from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She is the director of corporate relations and planned giving at Charleston Southern University, and is a member of the adjunct faculty.

Lili wore an ivory satin halter gown with a fitted bodice and a fit and flare skirt, with crystal beading and lace embroidery cascading from neckline to hemline, and a chapel train. She also wore an ivory fingertip-length veil trimmed in crystal beading. She carried an elongated cross bouquet of cascading vintage flowers, consisting of ivory Vendela roses, ivory and baby green hydrangeas, Charleston palmetto-frond roses, Queen Anne’s lace and Peruvian lilies.

The bridegroom is the son of Charles and Mary Hiser of Shreveport, La. He is the grandson of Ernest Freeman Hiser Jr. of Roseville, Calif., the late Mavis Lilian Estes Hiser of Lanett, Ala., the late Edward Everett Gaines of Lynn, Mass., and the late Alice Marie Baadte Gaines of Matlock, Iowa.

Greg is a graduate of Stratford High School in Goose Creek, S.C. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Charleston Southern University, and a doctor of medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He will earn a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Texas in Austin this May. He served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.

Mrs. Sidney Brant of Charleston was the matron of honor. Bride’s attendants were Jeanette Bevers of Fort Worth, Texas, Jennifer Breland of Walterboro, Juliana Johnson of Charleston, and Heidi Treen of Port Orchard, Wash.

The bridegroom’s brother, Scott Hiser of Lincoln, Neb., was the best man. Groomsmen were Brent Gresham of Charleston, Jeff Gresham of Washington, D.C., Bill Linton of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Harry Trautman Jr. of Charleston.

The couple honeymooned in the Dominican Republic, and reside in Summerville.
