The Huffmans celebrate 65th anniversary

Stan and Louise Huffman of DeLand celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 11 at a dinner in their honor at Mainstreet Grill in DeLand.

The couple were married June 11, 1943, in Nashville, Tenn., as he was about to be deployed with his U.S. Army unit for the South Pacific. After the war, they settled in Marienville, Pa.

The Huffmans have five children, Cara Elder and Kathryn Zawacki, both of DeLand, Charles of Ocala, Bradley of Chicago, and the late Newt Huffman; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
