Day Shift:

Grand theft/ motor vehicle - N. Stone. A woman reported that on 10-20-09 between hours of about 110 hours and about 1700 hours her vehicle was stolen from her residence. The vehicle a black 2003 Chevy cavalier Fla. tag STAR69 was left secured in her driveway. The victim said she just met “Chris/ Country” was also gone when she returned. The keys were at the house when she left for the day. The vehicle was entered into the computer as stolen.

Grand theft/ copper wire - West Volusia Regional. Employee for the Plaza, reported that on sometime between 10-19-09 at about 2100 hours and 10-20-09 at about 0900 hours an unknown suspect cut the ground wire that connects eight businesses together, (apx. 200 feet worth of wire). No leads.

Night Shift:

Warrant - S. Woodland Bl: A man was arrested for a VOP warrant at Race Track. VCBJ Disorderly Intox. / Resisting W/O Violence - N. Woodland Bl: A man was involved in an altercation with staff at Halftime Sports Bar. When Officers arrived he took off running and was captured behind a building in the 100 Blk. E. Rich Ave. He was intoxicated making threats towards staff and being uncooperative. We learned that he was being escorted from the bar for his behavior at which time he attempted to strike one of the employees in the groin. The staff member responded by shoving the suspect which caused him to strike a door with his face injuring his nose. The staff declined to take any action, and the suspect was being belligerent .He was taken to Florida Hospital to get his injury treated and then to the VCBJ. Trespass Warning issued.
