Day Shift:
Grand Theft - N. Woodland – The manager reported that approximately $478 had been stolen. The night manager was identified as a suspect.
Night Shift:
Robbery - (Wal-Mart), A man was arrested after being caught shoplifting clothing and hunting supplies. He started a physical altercation with Lost prevention and was later detained by LEO and responding units. The suspect’s friend was also arrested for resisting without after LEO ordered the friend to back away after trying to interfere with the arrest. The suspect was transported to VCBJ and DYS refused to take the friend and he was turned over to his father after an NTA was completed on him.
Burglary Residence - S. Adelle Ave, A man reported that unknown Person(s) made entry into his home by pushing in his daughter’s bedroom window. The unknown person(s) then ransacked a bedroom and took a 45 ACP pistol (Charles Daly), 500 rounds of 40 cal, unknown brand over-under 410 cal/ 22cal rifle/shotgun. The unknown person(s) also took a Toshiba laptop computer. LEO was able to lift prints from the scene and possible gathered information on a suspect. Both guns were entered into FCIC/NCIC.
Agg. Assault D.V. - E. Chelsea Ave, A man was arrested for D.V. after he showed a gun to the victim and stated that he was going to kill her. The suspect left the area on foot and K-9 Officer did a track that showed the suspect cutting through Earl Brown park area and leaving the area of Beresford and Woodland in an unknown method of travel. An area search was completed for the gun that had a negative result. The man later returned in a vehicle and units did a felony stop on the vehicle where the suspect was located in the back seat of the vehicle. He was arrested and transported to VCBJ. Theft - Halftimes- Four women reported that their purses where stolen while they were dancing. They stated that they figured their friends were watching the purses while dancing.
