Elizabeth Bhimjee has been named Director of Development for the Duvall Home in Glenwood.
Established in 1945, the Duvall Home exists for the benefit of individuals with developmental disabilities who require extensive services and care. The Home seeks to provide the highest quality of life and greatest level of independence for each resident by creating an individualized plan that includes opportunities for personal growth.
As Director of Development, Bhimjee will be responsible for leading the strategy, direction, and resource development plan for the Duvall Home.
Before locating to DeLand, Bhimjee was a marketing executive in Connecticut and for many years in South Florida. Her career has been based around account management and new business development. She began work in the nonprofit sector seven years ago and has previously served as director of development for the Foundation for Seminole State College and associate director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for Stetson University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Sociology and Art from Western State College of Colorado. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and is a graduate of the Leadership West Volusia class of 2011.
