The DeBary SunRail station is about 80 percent complete, and commuter service to points south is scheduled to begin in spring 2014.
During this first phase, riders will be able to take SunRail to Sand Lake Road in Orlando. In 2016, the line will be extended north to DeLand and south to Poinciana.
SunRail trains will run Monday-Friday every 30 minutes during the peak commuting hours of 5:30-8:30 a.m. and 4-7 p.m., and every two hours during non-peak hours. Weekend service will likely be added at some point.
A SunRail presentation, "We've Been Working on the Railroad," will be offered at DeBary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at City Hall, 16 Colomba Road, DeBary Safety Coordinator Alan Williamson said.
With the station taking shape, "area residents are already wondering how SunRail will fit into their daily commute," Williamson said.
A short presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
For more information, call Williamson at 386-668-2040,ext. 323. Visit SunRail online at www.SunRail.com.
