Stetson University has been so successful at recruiting new students that it doesn't have enough dorms to accommodate them on campus.
Stetson officials said 52 students will be housed on the fourth floor of the Clarion.
Clarion management wouldn't confirm the arrangements because no contract has been signed. But Stetson officials said there is an agreement in place for the entire school year.
The Clarion is about two miles from Stetson; students will be able to ride a free shuttle to campus, which will run every 15 minutes or so.
The deal with the Clarion is being made despite Stetson's recent purchase of the former University Inn, which is being renamed University Hall, will be ready for occupancy at the start of the fall semester.
