Cold Case Squad turns cold cases hot

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Squad is questioning whether a serial killer who murdered at least six women decades ago is on the loose.
Ralph Henshaw and William Maxwell are veteran investigators who came out of retirement to work on cold cases for the Sheriff's Office, as volunteers. Along with Investigator Chuck Lee, who heads the unit, they believe the deaths of four known women — along with a couple of others whose identities are not known — are likely the work of this serial killer.
The Cold Case Squad won't name the suspect, but there is one.
The investigators believe the killer disposed of the bodies in Deltona and other parts of Southwest Volusia because he lived there, Lee said. At the time of the murders, in the 1970s and 1980s, the Deltona area was much more rural.
