In the wake of Gov. Rick Scott's signing of a bill outlawing Internet cafes, Deltona's three storefront casinos have shut down.
"We didn't approach any of them. They voluntarily closed," Volusia County sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said.
Haught said there are 16 Internet cafes within the Volusia County Sheriff's Office's jurisdiction, including the three in Deltona. He had no information on Internet cafes inside cities that have their own police departments.
