Morton, I found your post very informative. I have been considering renting out the building for an event but they are going to charge me to rent the building. I am a citizen of Debary. Are you saying that the building is rent free and they pay nothing to maintain the building? If so, I am wondering why I am paying 125$ an hr to rent it! Thanks for the post!

Morton | posted Mar 23, 2013 - 4:53:47am

Gateway Center for the ARTs in Debary claims they have FREE ADMISSION to a public park! Look at their ad at the top of the page...free admission so they can sell junk to the public at a park.

Old Sandra Wilson founder of the greedy ugly GCA Inc. sure is getting easy...she could charge the PUBLIC for entering HER PARK.

That old selfish Sandra Wilson cost the taxpayers millions for her 'dream' Arts Center. Ask the old woman how much she gets in welfare grants for her greedy organization from the Volusia County Cultural board every year as she sits on the board itself. Ask Pat 'free money' Northey how much taxpayer money she got for HER friends in Debary.

Pat Northey and her greedy country club friends love getting FREE MONEY for their sleasy Debary Arts Center as they sell junk from the property and operate an franchise christian church from a public park.

Ask the Mayor of Debary and the County Councilmembers how much these greedy arts and culture BUM non profit organizations get in free welfare payments from the city and county.

The greedy GCA Inc of Debary recently held another thinly disgused fundraiser at Gemini Springs Park.....how much MONEY they pocketed is unknown, call the arts center and ask them what their TAKE is in free money from exploiting the public thru renting in a public park.

Gateway Park in Debary,Fl. was once a public park now it is corporate controlled by a greedy corporation that pays no taxes yet gets tax money thru Pat Northey and other worthless politicians in Volusia county. GO GATEWAY ..ya got a free building and free rent on the backs of the taxpayers and pay no taxes!!!!
