DeBary’s Rog Lee wins Florida songwriting award

DeBary singer-songwriter Rog Lee has won another Will McLean songwriting award for his song “Florida, No Appointments and a Full Tank of Gas.”

He took third place in the 2013 contest for best new Florida song.

In 2008, he won “Best New Florida Song” with his ballad about a man serving on a St. Johns River steamboat, “City of Jacksonville.”

Lee will perform during the annual Will McLean Folk Music Festival Friday, March 8-Sunday, March 10, in Brooksville.
