Saturday afternoon, March 2, nine Stetson University men and women basketball players will be playing their final home game on the Glenn Wilkes Court in the Edmunds Center for Senior Day.

The Hatters are coming off a 74-46 win here over Kennesaw State in the Atlantic Sun Conference, where they never trailed in the game.

Sasha Sims tallied 22 points to lead the Hats to their 20th win of the season against eight losses, with a 13-4 ASC mark. Sanders added 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Jama Sharp chipped in with 11 points.

In the loss, it was Sametria Gideon posting a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds, with Ashley Holiday adding 15 points.

Coach Casey Alexander's men also were victorious, downing Kennesaw State, 91-77, squaring their season record to 14-14 and 11-6 in the ASC, leaving the losers at 3-26 and 2-15, respectively.

The seniors taking the court here for the final time are Joel Naburgs, Liam McInerney, J.R. Weston and Adam Pegg. The tipoff is set for 3:15 p.m. with the Mercer Bears.

Aaron Graham poured in a game-high 24 points, while Pegg followed with 19 and seven picks off the glass. Helping to balance the attack were Chris Perez, 18, and Naburgs, 11. Delbert Love netted 22 in the loss, with Aaron Anderson and Markeith Cummings following with 17 and 13, respectively.

Both Hatter teams will be playing in the ASC tournaments set for March 6-9 in Macon, Ga., hosted by Mercer. The times and pairings will be announced over the weekend.
