ORANGE CITY — Members of the Orange City Shuffleboard Club met Tuesday, Feb. 19, for their in-house competition, with Earl Gregory and Priscilla Young pacing the field of high three-game scorers with a 243.
Following were Alice and Roger Vandevender, 236; Barb DeGeer and Larry Bukowski, 197; with Pat Moran and Dave Shaw, 194.
Returning to the courts Wednesday, Feb. 20, the members enjoyed the Hoss Collar competition. Shaw headed the scoring with 883. Others were Gregory, 829; Stan Skylondz, 809; Bob Moran, 801; and Helen Shaw, 766.
Saturday, Feb. 23, the members competed in the Fun Time Tournament, with A. Vandevender and E. Gregory, 242, heading the field. Others were Esther Fleming and Skylondz, 235; B. Moran and R. Vandevender, 225; with the Shaws, 220.
First-place winners were awarded coupons from Sonny's BBQ, and the draw winners ones from Checkers. Members were to compete in Inter-City Games on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at the Coronado Club.
