Have you seen this plaque anywhere?— Jimmy Ford's plaque is missing from its home on a column at the southeast corner of Woodland Boulevard and New York Avenue in DeLand. Because of his long service as a banker, the former SouthTrust Bank building on that corner was dedicated to Ford in 2004.

The building was named after Francis P. Whitehair for many, many years -- what's up with this? After the guys been dead a few years just forget about him and slap on another guy's name??? Can't they find someplace else to put Jimmy Ford's name on? Where'd Whitehair's name go?

I would guess it was someone anti-bank and this was their small statement. That or a drunk kid downtown thought it was a good idea.

Check the local metal recyclers....the crooks are stealing EVERYTHING except plastic.

People are even breaking into recyclers and reselling the scrap metal...it is called double recycling.

All part of the new normal...post wealthy USA.
