The past weekend was scheduled to be a busy one at the Patricia Wilson Softball Complex on the Stetson University campus, with some eight games planned for the annual Hatter Classic.
The Hats were carrying a 2-5 record into the three-day event, which was bringing Bethune-Cookman, Dartmouth and Florida A&M into town to complete the field.
Things are a little different this week. The Hats will be at home Wednesday, Feb. 27, for a 6 p.m. encounter with the University of Central Florida Knights in a clash billed as the Strikeout Cancer Game.
A doubleheader is scheduled at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 1, against Niagara University.
The action will be heating up again March 8-10, when there are 10 games planned for the Stetson Classic. Coming to town for that one will be Valparaiso, Fairleigh Dickinson and Colgate. There will be four games slated for each of the first two days, with the consolation and championship action on the third.
