ORANGE CITY — Members of the Orange City Shuffleboard Club met Tuesday, Feb. 12, for their in-house competition, with Earl Gregory and Stan Skylondz heading the top scorers with a 239.

Others were Pat Moran and Simone Oulette close behind with a 238; Janet Dally, walking the courts, 231; Dave Shaw and Theresa Stellato, 207; plus Bob Moran (wc), 191.

On Wednesday, Feb. 13, the club was host to members of the DeLand Club for inter-city games, with our teams taking an 11-10 win in games.

Milt Wordelman and John Whelton, DeLand, topped the high three-game winners with a 251. Others were Pat and Bob Moran (OC), 236; John and Christine Giumarra, DeLand, 218; plus Dave Shaw and Earl Gregory (OC), 217. Coffee and cake were served by the hosts in the clubhouse after the games.

Saturday, Feb. 16, members were back on the courts for their Fun Time Tournament. Shaw (wc) led the high scorers with a 240. Others were Helen Shaw and E. Gregory, 236; with Skylondz and Dally, 208.

First place was awarded a coupon from Hungry Howie's, with draw winners winning coupons from Quiznos.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, club members were to compete in a Hoss Collar Tournament.

These are the results from the Deltona Northern District Pro Draw/Any Am Draw Tournament:

There were 13 teams in the main pro draw, with Tom Andrick-Patty Foster, CoronadoMainland/Tavares placing first. Following were Lorraine Layton-Roger Vandevender, Tavares/Orange City; Tom Rimmer-Walt Vilk, CoronadoMainland; and Christine Giumarra-Ann Mazzola, DeLand.

Heading the consolation leaders were Mario Mazzola-Dennis Abbenante, DeLand/Hawthorne. Trailing were Sue McLaughlin-Ivan Layton, Hawthorne/Tavares; Walt Bartels-Pat King, Deltona/Hawthorne; and Jo Ann Craw-Sharon Johnson, Holiday Trv Rst.

There were 11 teams in the Any Am Draw headed by Stanley Skylondz-Robert Moran, Orange City. Others were Loretta Wadden-Allen Best, Clerbrook/CoronadoMainland; Barbara DeGeer-Allen Dronfield, Orange City/Tavares; and Jack Hazen-Len Johnson, CoronadoMainland, Holiday Trv Rst.

Winning the consolation were Jan Dally-Dave Shaw, Orange City. Following were Alice Whyland-Pat Moran, Deltona/Orange City; Gail Howell-John Holder Jr., Mid Florida Lakes/CoronadoMainland; and Rose Mary Contois-Arnie Fischbach, Deltona.

The tournament directors were Richie and Carolyn Burrell.
