DeBary turned out in droves for the annual Christmas Parade. This year’s theme was “A Tropical Christmas,” and the weather cooperated.
The parade winners will receive their awards during the 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, City Council workshop at DeBary City Hall, 16 Colomba Road.
In fact, the City Council will present awards during that meeting for three recent civic contests.
Winners of the “DeBary History in Your Own Backyard” contest will be awarded prizes during the Dec. 19 workshop. The contest was open to schoolchildren at the elementary-school, middle-school and high-school levels.
And, entries in the holiday-lighting-display contest will be judged Thursday, Dec. 13, and Friday, Dec. 14. These winners will be awarded prizes during the Wednesday, Dec. 19, workshop, as well.
Parade winners are:
Adult Civic Division:
First place – Mid Florida Jeep Club
Second place – We Help Animals
Third place – Daytona Harley Drill Team
Youth/Adult Civic Division:
First place – Mena House
Second place – St. Ann’s Catholic Church
Third place – Revolution
Youth Civic Division:
First place – Pack 560
Second place – Ranch Raiders 4-H
Third place – DeBary Little League
School Division:
First place – DeBary Elementary
Second place – Studio 13 Dance Studio
Commercial Division:
First place – Highbanks Marina
Second place – Tuckers Tree and Bobcat
Third place – Oodles Consignment
Overall Winner:
Mena House

The VFW is another bulletproof non profit organization that makes money in Debary. There are at least 50 others...none pay their fair share of taxes because they are special.

Observe the NON Profit profiteers as they stuff taxfree cash in thier pockets and laugh at the taxpayers.
