On another note: GO PANTHERS!! D.P...YOU KNOW!
GO PANTHER'S, BULLDOGS, AND ALL THE WOLVES, FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADER'S!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!
Don't let these radical freaks upset you. That's exactly what they want. Keep calm & cool, stay proud and positive. These negative comments are just that, negative. Don't even waste another minute on anyone who is so sour and bitter.
And as for raising money, OMG they're children for God's sake! When we were kids, looking to make money the only way we knew how, our PARENTS suggested we do exactly what these girls are doing! Selling goods and services to earn money. There's nothing wrong with their fundraising. I had to wait until I was 14 to get a workers permit, these kids are 9, 10 & 11!On a more serious note, How is this different from all of the Boys Scouts, Girl Scouts etc. raising money? In light of the recent Hurricane Sandy, how is this different from the American Red Cross. If those out there don't want to donate, then don't. But there are people who are proud and want to be a part of this big moment for these wonderful kids!
These girls will get to Nationals and show that they "Earned" being there.
Congratulations to these young ladies and their dedicated parents for a job well done! I'm sure you will have a great experience at Disney filled with lots of lifelong memories! You have my support!
My spouse and I taught them that if they can't earn it on their own, they don't get it.
I guess you all like teaching them to beg for handouts.
I will remind my children to be compassionate when they hire your children to work for them, if they actually have any work ethic after you're through rearing them.
Lets just teach our kids that if you can't earn the money yourself, go ask for a free handout.
It has worked so well for America so far, hasn't it? $16T and climbing .....
Lets teach 'em young that the way to live is beg for free stuff, no need to actually do work.
Great job on getting to the finals but if you can't earn your way, DON'T GO!
All while maintaing a high GPA a Pop Warner requirement. These girls pay to cheer each year, pay extra for gym time to practice indoors in a safe environment. They have competition costs..registration per girl. And usually you need to be there the day before the competition to practice and register the team
These competitions cost money and they have been fundraising.
Support these girls on their way to a National Championship...something this town should support.
Team sports prepare these kids for college with time management skills and staying focused and committed.
Good Luck Panthers...I will give a donation to VT!
You have know idea what your are talking about. Please keep your ignorant comments to yourself. You could have simply congratulated a group of girls who have worked incredibly hard over the last 4 months to earn the opportunity to compete on a national stage.
They have been fundraising all season long, the parents are involved, the grandparents are involved. They will raise the money needed, but its a little more involved than an hour car ride..........
Asking for a donation is not asking for a handout, don't know what had made you so negative.
If sports was like it use to be, the schools would be funding these activities and not the parents who have to practically beg people to help and most of the time take the money out of their own pocket.
So don't listen to this negative person. Donate what you can to help these children and any other children who is asking.
It keep them off the streets and away from drugs.
For a one hour car trip?
How about if they actually did something to earn the money, instead of just asking for a handout. Or is that asking too much, it is better to teach them to beg and not do anything productive.....
