The Florida Museum for Women Artists will host an artist talk at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, during which many of the 53 artists currently on display for museum's juried art show will discuss their works.
Contemporary artists were selected for the third annual juried art show, and the artists used an array of materials and styles in their work, including oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, photography, clay and wood sculptures, and mixed media art.
The event is free for museum members and $5 for non-members. Refreshments will be served. A list of the participating artists and a preview of their works is available at www.FloridaMuseumforWomenArtists.org
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is the only venue in the state of Florida, and the southeast United States, to provide art and other artistic disciplines exclusively by women artists and includes educational programming for all backgrounds.
The museum is open 11 a.m to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, at 100 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand.
The Florida Museum for Women Artists is a 501(c) (3) organization.
