The Wesley House United Methodist Campus Ministry at Stetson University is partnering with Change This World to host a meal packing event at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov.18, at the Rinker Fieldhouse in the Hollis Center Gym, Stetson University, 421 N. Woodland Blvd.

Change This World is a nonprofit organization based in Orlando. The organization mobilizes churches and schools to host packing events in which specially formulated, high protein and vitamin meals are packed and sent to people facing extreme malnourishment all over the world.

The students began raising funds in December 2011. So far, they have raised $12,500, enough to pack 50,000 meals.

The project was spearheaded by Change This World's Student President Melanie Myer, a senior, who is majoring in psychology with a religious studies minor.

Myer is from Bell.

That is a nice project but I would hope the students would also think about NJ/NY. People are still without food and clothing in those areas. It looks like a 3rd world country is some of those areas
