Among the many changes in plans caused by Hurricane Sandy is the Friday-night, Oct. 26, football game here with the DeLand Bulldogs hosting the Jacksonville Mandarin Mustangs.
One of the big changes is that the High Schools of DeLand Hall of Fame set for inductions at halftime of the DeLand-Mandarin game has now been moved to Friday, Nov. 2, when DeLand will be hosting the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs.
This will be a busy night, as it also will be Senior Night, with not only the seniors on the football team, but also the cheerleaders and band members honored before the game.
The DeLand game with Mandarin here has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29. If it had been possible, the game might well have been moved to Friday, Nov. 9, as DeLand has an open date; however, Mandarin has a game with Jacksonville First Coast on that date.
