ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
The ACR Gold Standard of Accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety.
“The American College of Radiology Breast MRI Accreditation is the latest proof that our Women’s Imaging Services meet the highest possible standards for patient care,” said Robert Whitehead, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Director of Radiology.
By earning the ACR’s Gold Standard of Accreditation, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial has demonstrated that they voluntarily underwent a vigorous review process to ensure that they meet nationally-accepted standards of care; their personnel are well-qualified to perform medical imaging, and interpret images; and the facility meets or exceeds quality assurance and safety guidelines. Every aspect of this accreditation process is overseen by board-certified, expert radiologists and medical physicists in advanced diagnostic imaging.
