Volusia-Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association holds installation ceremony

The Volusia-Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association held their installation luncheon Sept. 11 at Sunset Harbor Yacht Club. Chris Gent, the incoming state president-elect installed the local chapter’s new board. WFTV Channel 9 news reporter Blaine Tolison was on hand for their media meet and greet.

The 2012-13 slate of officers are:

President Kent Donahue, special assistant to the city manager for the City of Port Orange; President-Elect Stefany Strong, public-information officer for the Volusia County Health Department; Immediate Past President Tangela Boyd, senior media relations manager for the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau; Secretary Elizabeth “Bissy” Holden, advertising and public-relations manager for Florida Health Care Plans; Vice President of Finance Mary Dorn, APR, consultant, Mary Dorn Communications; Vice President of Public Relations Marisol Moreno, director of sales and marketing for Country Inn & Suites by Carlson Port Orange/Daytona; Vice President of Membership Pam Hamlin, public-relations consultant; Vice President of Programs Byron Cogdell, public-relations specialist for Halifax Health; Vice President of Special Events Andrew Booth Sr., manager of media relations for Daytona International Speedway; Student Liaison Chair Trish Mucciolo, director of sales and marketing for Daytona Fun Parks; Accreditation Chair Helen Riger, APR, CPRC, administrator of cultural services for the City of Daytona Beach; Vice President of Communications Tyler Stover, community-outreach director for the Halifax Humane Society; Technology Chair Vicki Pleus, APR, CPRC, president, VP Communications; Historian Bob Barker, Rrtired.
