Junior Achievement of Central Florida (JA) recently hired Deana Gammero as its Volusia County regional director. She will lead JA’s development and execution of strategies in the county and will also be responsible for the nonprofit’s fundraising, special events, volunteer recruitment, program growth, board development and administration.
Gammero brings more than seven years of business development and senior leadership experience to the position. Prior to joining JA, she worked in sales, establishing multi-concept marketing plans for businesses. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Fordham University.
“Deana’s presence at JA is integral as we continue to grow our Volusia County program. In 2011 alone, 7,575 students were impacted through our programs and we anticipate that number to grow throughout 2012,” said Tom Leek, chair of the JA Volusia County board.
