Local Chiropractor Will Have to 'Adjust' to Multiple Honors and Praise

Local DeLand Chiropractor, Dr. Jeremy Gordon was presented the ‘Chiropractor of the Year – 2011’

DeLand, Florida — August 31, 2011 — Local DeLand Chiropractor, Dr. Jeremy Gordon, must think Christmas has come early this year as he was presented the ‘Chiropractor of the Year – 2011’ award on August 27, 2011 in front of hundreds of colleagues and friends at the Florida Chiropractic Association's (FCA) National Convention held in Orlando, Florida at the Peabody Hotel. What makes this award so unique for Dr. Gordon is that this is his second time receiving this award since 2007. It's not known whether another Doctor of Chiropractic has earned such recognition in the Association's seventy plus years of existence. Not to out-do the exceptional nature of that award, Dr. Gordon had just received another distinctive honorarium from his colleagues that he serves with on the FCA's Board of Directors where he has represented the Flagler and Volusia County area, as well as serving as FCA Treasurer and last year as Secretary. On July 21st, 2011, Dr. Gordon was nominated and confirmed as President-Elect of the FCA, and will assume the position of President on November 1, 2012.

The Florida Chiropractic Association, representing over 4,500 chiropractors across the State of Florida, awards the “Chiropractor of the Year” Award each year to a Florida chiropractor who has contributed his time and effort to advancing the chiropractic profession. This includes serving his or her patients, donating time to legislative efforts, and often serving on the Board of Directors for the Florida Chiropractic Association. Dr. Mark Wieland, FCA stated, “It is my distinct honor to award Dr. Jeremy Gordon the Florida Chiropractic Association’s top award of Chiropractor of the Year, for his dedicated service to the profession, his patients, and his ongoing service to the community as a whole."

About Dr. Jeremy Gordon - Dr. Gordon has been in practice in DeLand, FL for over 12 years. Dr. Gordon incorporates a holistic approach to healthcare including chiropractic, DRX 9000 spinal decompression, low-level laser therapy, acupuncture, and nutrition in the treatment of his patients. He has served on the Flagler-Volusia Chiropractic Society Board of Directors for 11 years, including the offices of President and Treasurer, and has served on the Florida Chiropractic Association Board of Directors for 8 years.
