Gerancher appointed to N.C. Medical Board

Dr. Karen Gerancher, daughter of Edward and Mary Rinderle of DeLand, a physician at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, has been appointed by North Carolina Gov. Beverly Perdue to serve on the North Caroina Medical Board.

Gerancher is assistant professor, section head of gynecology, and residency program director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wake Forest Baptist.

She is a graduate of St. Peter Catholic School in DeLand and DeLand High School, as well as Florida State University and the University of Florida School of Medicine.

She is married and has two children, resides in Winston-Salem, N.C.
