W. Ben Flowers Jr., President and CEO of Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida, announced that Stetson University President Dr. Wendy B. Libby has accepted a seat on their Board of Directors.
“We are thrilled to have Dr. Libby join our board. With her leadership skills, business acumen, energy and banking experience, she will be a tremendous addition,” said Flowers.
Dr. Libby served as President of Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., the nation’s second-oldest women’s institution, from 2003-2009. She served as Vice President for Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer at Furman University, Greenville, S.C., from 1995 to 2003.
Dr. Wendy B. Libby became the ninth president of Stetson University in 2009. With a broad career in higher education and private industry, she is building on Stetson’s values-centered heritage and tradition of academic excellence and community service. Now in her second year at Stetson, Dr. Libby is strengthening strategic planning, academic excellence and the physical and teaching environment.
