Col. Eromlig makes his pics

Last week was another of those "not so special" guessing weeks for Col. Eromlig, as he went 16-7 to increase the season total to 141-53.

About the best guess was the DeLand 30-6 win over New Smyrna Beach, where the pick was 31-0.

But, another week is at hand, so we'll go out on the limb again.

The DeLand Bulldogs will be home for the third-straight week, and the regular-season finale and the Battle of the Bone, with the Deltona Wolves in town. The nod goes to the ’Dogs, 35-7.

Of course, the ’Dogs and their fans are gunning to have the first-round district game here later in November.

The Taylor Wildcats will be on the road to face the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind in St. Augustine, getting a 26-20 nod tonight, Thursday, Oct.22.

We have the possible Deltona Wolves outcome listed above.

The Pine Ridge Panthers will be at home entertaining the always-dangerous Daytona Beach Mainland Bucs. The visitors get the pick, 35-6.

Also slated for the road will be the Deltona Trinity Christian Eagles visiting Florida Air, where it looks like the hosts will have too much, 28-12.

The Lighthouse Christian Crusaders will also be taking to the road to face St. Edward's at Vero Beach, with the home club the pick, 33-12.
