Here’s another look ahead to the scheduled football action for our six West Volusia high schools, as the 2009 season continues in high gear.
Friday night, the DeLand Bulldogs will be in Spec Martin Memorial Stadium for Community Night, when they play host to the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas at 7 p.m. in non-district action.
In Pierson, the light will be off on Swanson Field Friday evening, as the Taylor Wildcats will be on the road heading to Kissimmee Gateway for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
The Deltona Wolves will be at home Friday night for a 7 o’clock kickoff against the free-scoring Daytona Beach Seabreeze SandCrabs, in what should be another toughie.
Also, in Deltona this weekend, the lights will also be off at Pine Ridge High School, as the Panthers will be enjoying an open date on the heels of being the Homecoming opponent for the DeLand Bulldogs on Friday night.
The Deltona Trinity Christian Eagles are scheduled to be hosting Orangewood Christian at 7 p.m. Friday at the Dewey O. Boster Sports Complex gridiron.
The Lighthouse Christian Crusaders will be another local team taking to the road Friday, when they trek to the Florida Air Academy for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
