Just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, a caller contacted The Beacon to report law-enforcement officers, with weapons drawn, had entered a home in the vicinity of West Bereford Avenue and State Road 15A.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office remained tight-lipped, as a number of deputies and drug dog Darco conducted an investigation at a home on South Brooks Avenue, just off West Beresford Avenue.

A narcotics investigator with K-9 Darco asked that his face not be photographed, because of the nature of his work.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Gary Davidson said a narcotics investigation was under way. He had no information on it to release at this time.
