Talk to the animals? — Todd Langston, an animal-behavior expert, and Jack Guberman, producer, practice for the premiere of All Paws Pet Talk. They plan to launch the weekly radio program at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16. The live, one-hour call-in program will originate from WYND in DeLand, and will also be aired over WFOY in St. Augustine. Other stations will be added, Guberman said. Another regular on All Paws Pet Talk will be Dr. Donald Kanfer, a DeLand veterinarian.

Animals have issues — and those issues will be subjects of discussion on a new call-in radio program coming to a radio near you.
The hourlong program, All Paws Pet Talk, is set to premiere at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, on Radio Station WYND, 1310 AM, in DeLand.
All Paws will air at 2 p.m. Tuesday each week, producer Jack Guberman said.
"It's going to be an informative and entertaining show," Guberman told The Beacon.
A well-known local veterinarian will lend his voice, knowledge and experience to the program.
"I started talking to Dr. Donald Kanfer, and we wondered how to get the message out. We want to syndicate the show in the next four or five months," Guberman said.
While All Paws Pet Talk will originate from the DeLand station, it will also be broadcast over WFOY in St. Augustine. Other stations will probably be added soon, according to Guberman.
"They can hear the show from Kissimmee to Jacksonville," he said.
Another regular on the program will be Todd Langston, an Orlando animal-behavior expert.
The program should have broad-based appeal, Guberman said, because so many people have pets.
"Who can you slap around and they'll come back to you?" he asked, rhetorically. "You can't do that with your wife."
Asked how he came up with the idea for All Paws Pet Talk, Guberman said "it just came to me."
"My sister — may she rest in peace — used to rescue animals in Massachusetts. I see how the animals are suffering," he said.
Guberman intends to model All Paws Pet Talk along the lines of National Public Radio's Car Talk, a weekend automotive-oriented program featuring Click and Clack as experts.
"We want to do a show just like that," he said.
