RowdyBall, the 12-year-old youth baseball travel team from the DeLand and Pierson area, recorded three recent victories to boost their season mark to 16-8.
The Rowdies rapped out 10 hits en route to a 13-8 win over the West Volusia Attack. Joey Markus tripled and singled, while Mason Moyer stroked a pair of singles to pace the victory. Trey Johnston belted a triple, while Chris Hopkins and Brendan Nolan doubled. Shelton Schimming, Ben Rowdon and Nick Fortes singled.
On the mound, Tanner Campbell, Troy Naab, Rhett Tollison, Moyer, Rowdon and Nolan all did their part in holding the Attack in check.
The loyals also downed the Inverness Crackers, 6-4, and the West Volusia Vipers, 21-5, in other action. In the opener, Josh Dye, Moyer and Campbell hurled for a three-hitter against Inverness. Markus powered a three-run walk-off home run over the center-field fence to bring home the win. Fortes singled twice, with one each from Campbell and Dye.
Against the Vipers, the Rowdies belted 19 hits around the park, and Dye collected a trio of singles. Naab and Tollison each doubled and singled. Campbell, Johnston, Nolan and Hopkins each added a pair of singles. Fortes, Markus, Moyer and Schimming each chipped in with one-baggers. Johnston and Markus combined their pitching efforts, limiting the Vipers to six hits.
