This amendment is pure socialism. It takes away the individual property rights of a few and for the benefit of many without compensation. This is not just about the developers, this is about individuals who own property right now and there right to use it. All these comprehensive plans were put together overnight when the new state laws required it. They were not well thought out and adopted with little citizen input. They require constant change and updating so that a community can grow with the times. This HTD amdenments would cripple our local governments ability to adapt and grow in a timely manner. These land use changes already take a year and adding voter approval plus the extra cost will cause a decrease in property values. This would further weaken our economy and move us closer to socialism.
