Hey! laid-off firefighters!!!...no worries...LOOKY HERE! Deltona is building a 2.5 million dollar fire station in the midst of these hard times...maybe you all should just apply over here? Obviously there is plenty of budget...maybe just add a few million more in salary and benefits to that plentiful budget. I am sure their citizens of Deltona would be thrilled to absorb the costs! And, everyone gets to work in a brand new building. Terrific. The schools can't buy new text books for Pine Ridge students now that it's a D school...and gang violence is on the rise and spilling over into the neighboring towns…and I think the contract with the Volusia County Sheriff’s office is a whole $20K more than last year...but hey, look at the new fire station...2 million dollars…sure will be pretty, though.
