To DeBary volunteer: As matter of fact it has been more like 20 years since I have been on a county truck. As auxlliary member I never even qualified for retirement. But, yet I have remained a member of VCFS for 25 years. I am a strong supporter of unions but the ilks like you give unions a blackeye. You would not last a day in a real fire department like FDNY, LaCounty, or MetroDade. Where you may have to fight a real fire. In fact many members of FDNY are volunteers in their home communites. You have been brain washed by the international that volunteers are and the true term is not "Tick" but "scab" instead of bad mouthing the DVFA you should go after the true source of your situation the county. By the way I am a taxpayer and I pay your salary. I had been supporting the union but now I can't wait to see the county and union leave town.
