To VCFS: I am proud to say I am a volunteer in DeBary. In fact I can say my CAD# is lower then 6100(the numbers started at 6000 when they were started as ID's in the '80's). In fact it was the Fireman's Ass'n that paid the first paid FF in DeBary. I ask have you ever been in Station33? Who do you think paid for all the Funiture, televisions, gas grills exercise equipment, Basket ball backboard. Who paid for the "Hurst Tools" and other numerous pieces of equipment, that the county did not provide? The dreaded volunteers, who also raised over $1,000 for JJ's family when he died. Evey year the FF's come to us with a wish list and some years it is amazing what the FF feel are important to have in the station. This is agenda you think is wrong? And we give volunteers a bad name.Those like you give a bad name to unions.
