Not to be overly mean-spirited or anything, but really, I, along with many other West Volusians, would love to see sleazy Daytona Beach disappear under the ocean. At least this would finally put to rest all the strongarm political tactics sleazy East Volusia county councilmen and other Daytona Beach bigwigs perform on classy old DeLand and West Volusia. Also, having DeLand property become oceanfront could be a nice financial bonus to long-suffering DeLand property owners.
