I guess Sgt. Anderson will be standing right there to protect me when some deranged crack-head kicks in my door at 2 o’clock in the morning? I'd rather take personal responsibility for my family's safety. And maybe Anderson should get his facts straight. People with a CWP are not prohibited from carrying in a pharmacy. And in fact, even a drunk person has the right to use a firearm for lawful self defense. People with no permit at all are still allowed to have a firearm in their car. In a closed console or glove box is all that is required by law, and if Anderson doesn’t like that law, maybe he should move to Washington DC or Chicago – the murder capitals of America – where carrying a gun is illegal. Locking the gun in the trunk of the car is even better? What good is my gun if I leave it locked in my trunk? And why would he suggest that we tell a cop if there's a gun in our car during a traffic stop after he admits that cops are against my right to have a gun at all. This speaks volumes about the police mentality in Deland Florida.
Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
