To all concerned with the Community Roots project, thank you for your interest. I wanted to make it clear that we were asking the city, in a public forum, if and how they may be able to assist a COMMUNITY farm. It is a huge project, and we are diligently working towards making this farm a reality. Our local government is a place to go and ask for assistance, share ideas with and receive guidance. We were asking for a boost, to help get the farm on it's feet. After the farm is up and growing, it will not need assistance to run at all, and there will be many services that the farm will be in the position to help out in the community in many ways. If you have been paying attention to the meetings you would see that YOUR commission is conservative, they are trying to keep YOU in mind, as well as look at the big picture, and into the future, for YOUR CHILDREN. We are hoping to bring community together, not ruffle any feathers.
