We need to get rid of Margaret Smith; although she is not responsible for the budget cuts from Tallahassee, she should be responsible to DO something when she aims all of the budget cuts at the kids; sports, AP and IB programs, all of the cuts are directly to children's programs and needs. Smith and the school board should be in Tallahassee fighting for the teachers and the kids. I thank God every day that I am almost done with Volusia County Schools. It is an out-of-control monster and Margaret Smith is in charge and should be held responsible. Maybe the parents should threaten to pull the kids out and put them in private schools; if the kids aren't in school the county won't get a dime for them.
