I am once again in amazement at the incompetence of Florida's legal system. This following the heels of Casey Anthony.... Back to this case; observing pictures of the two police officers, they both look overweight, most likely out of shape and most likely outweighed Mr. Reynolds by at least 150-200 lbs. It is a police officers duty (or at minimum, common sense) to ask if there is anything in someone's pocket or on them, i.e., weapons, needles, etc., they intend to arrest or question, especially if they are investigating a domestic incident. This is not to say Mr. Reynolds acted appropriately. However, this does not sound like attempted murder in the least.Aggrevated assault at most.
Second, these two officers were not hurt badly, judging by articles in local paper saying the two were released by hospital same day and following day for the other. I live in another state and am reading local papers account of incident. Sounds to me as if both officers should resign, along with the police chief. Very unprofessional conduct! If I lived in Deltona, I would call for resignations of all three immediately.
Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
