A volunteer department would not be all that good. You do know how an actual volunteer department works is there is nobody at the station and everyone comes in when a pager goes off or if they get a phone call and even then that would not work in today's economy. I don't not know anyone who can't afford to work. Just saying. Now as for the county run EVAC apparently you have never had to use them. I have and it was scary when the FD had to transfer care. See I was having a heart attack and I also take erectile dysfunction medication. If you do not know already but you cannot take Nitro with erectile dysfunction medication it will drop you Blood pressure and possible kill you. See he fire department paramedic asked me all the proper question and would not give me nitro for my chest pain and told me why. While enroute to the hospital the EVAC paramedic went to give me nitro and if it was not for me asking what it was and for what the fire department paramedic told me the EVAC paramedic would of more than likely killed me. I also noticed that EVAC billed me for things the fire department did not sure how that is possible. I see it this way let the fire department transport and if I have to pay for an ambulance ride I would rather he money come back to my city. I want to say thank you to the men and women of the Deltona fire department.

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
