CRA's redirect property taxes to do projects in the locality where the property is located. The CRA is a good way to help local redevelopment of infrastructure.
The county government is concerned that if CRA's are instituted they will benefit local tax payers and redevelopment without county government control.
The redevelopment of infrastructure is the surest way to see some prosperity come to areas that need infrastructure improvements in order to prosper.
CRA's are a way of great local participation is how tax dollare are spent.
