For most of the people of Orange City the water is orange most of the time. Just pour a bucket full and have a look. People with pools have to treat the water for days if they add water or so I am told. It is sad that the Director of Public Works can not make water fit for people, but if you don't listen to your employees what can be expected.
We, also, get the weekend periods where the water smells and tastes so strongly of chlorine that it is unfit for people.
Many wise citizens have installed filters to make sure they can use the water piped to their homes. It is unfortunate that our Director of Public works collects Over $100,000 in salary and benefits and performs so poorly.
Indeed flushing the hydrants will produce little difference from the everyday disaster of water service. Perhaps it is time to flush the excuses of the Director of Public Works and make some improvements.
Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
