There are many valid points here. It is as easy as this. If the public does not voluntarily provide adequate funding for a non-profit the non-profit should be allowed to fail. The lack of funding would be an indicator that the non-profit is not valued by the public, thus the public should not be forced to provide support. I have followed the ECHO program throughout the years and I would have to agree with some of the other postings. I do not feel that we got the ECHO program that we voted for. I too feel that the previous County Councils have mislead us and that they have squandered our money. I would appreciate a full and nonbiased investigation into the entire ECHO program. I too would like to know if the organizations that have already received funding are or are not fulfilling their ECHO contracts. I would also like to know why Mrs. Hodge was pushed out of her ECHO position and why Dave Byron, who is a known yes man, has been charged with overseeing the program. Let us not forget where all of this ECHO money comes from. When I look back on my life and the mistakes that I have made, I would say that voting for the ECHO program is high on my list. I truly feel our leaders have failed us and that we have been defrauded. Sadly from what I have already witnessed pertaining to the new County Chair, I do not think our County's future is going to be any better. Only time will tell.

Are you sure this is what you would like to do?
